JOSEPHINA V. GALINDO

SHEFFIELD: Josephina V. Galindo, 86 of Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008 in the Home Hospice House in Odessa.

Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield. Burial will follow in the Sheffield Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Mrs. Galindo was born on August 28, 1922 in Grandfalls, Texas to Jose and Martina Villa. She was a loving wife, a caring mother to all her children, and a very good homemaker, and a good friend to all her knew her. She was also a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield. She married Seberiano Galindo on May 5, 1935 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2002; and she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Delia Galindo on July 26, 2007, and a brother, Seberiano Villa, and sister, Juanita Hidalgo.

Mrs. Galindo is survived by her children, Ermalinda Torres of Castroville, Eddie Galindo and Enoelia Sena both of Crane, Lillian Rivas of San Antonio, Ernest Galindo and Ector Galindo both of Iraan, Sammy Galindo of McCamey, Gary Galindo of Sheffield, Janie Tidwell of San Angelo, Alice Smith of Carlsbad, NM, Danny Galindo, and Adam Galindo both of Sonora, and Oscar Galindo of Ozona. She is also survived by a sister, Augustina Marquez of Odessa; and two brothers, Alex Villa and Cipriano Villa both of New Mexico; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.
