Johnny Darrell Dumas, 67, of Andrews, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 in Andrews.

 Johnny was born on December 28, 1956, in Pampa, Texas. Johnny went to school in Crane; however, he graduated from Abilene Cooper. He served in the United States Airforce where he was a Communications Specialist from November of 1974 until 1981.He married Nancy Permenter on April 22, 1991.

Johnny was an electrician in the oilfield, a handy man, and a hard worker. He loved to cook and eat; he had a love for motorcycles and trucks, as well as cats and dogs. Johnny loved football and the Dallas Cowboys.

 Johnny was a Baptist, very patriotic, and enjoyed talking politics. Unfortunately, there will be one less vote for Trump.

 Johnny loved his family, and especially his grandchildren – he was very proud of them.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Ray Meathenia and Carolyn Schultz Meathenia; and brother in law, Archer Brannon. 

 He is survived by his wife Nancy Permenter; Daughter Traci Dodd and husband Travis and their children Brooklyn, Cooper, and Aubree; Son Jon Paul Dodson and his wife Terri and their son Tucker; siblings Lonnie Dumas, Ginger Slater and husband Gene, and Kathy Brannon; and half-sister, Peggy K. Meathenia.
