McCAMEY: Joe Angel Flores Rodriquez, 26 of McCamey, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary/Wake services will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joe Anthony Rodriquez, J.R. Martinez, Abel Armendarez, Victor Martinez, Phillip Shankle, and Fred Rodriquez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam Barrera, Joe Rodriquez, Josh Caudill, Rudy Martinez, Mark Baker, Mark Marquez, Noe Marquez, Pablo Baiza, Sabino Castaneda, Pablo Villegas, Lupe Villegas, and Phillip Shankle, Jr.
Joe was born on October 31, 1982 in Crane. He was a lifelong resident of McCamey; and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents Eddie H. and Jessie Martinez of McCamey; a sister, Victoria Martinez of Odessa; and a brother, J. R. Martinez of McCamey; maternal grandmother, Dominga F. Rodriquez of McCamey; two nieces, Jaedynn Navarratte of Odessa, and Destiny Martinez of McCamey; five aunts, Lupe Rios, Rosa Villegas, Tina Baiza, Mary Rodriquez, and Silvia Baker all of McCamey; and four uncles, Fred Rodriquez of McCamey, Joe Rodriquez of Odessa, Victor H. Martinez of Odessa, and Rudy H. Martinez of Big Lake.
