Jesus Chavez

Jesus Chavez, 65, of Iraan, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Iraan, TX.

Jesus was born on February 25, 1959, to Horacio Chavez Rodriguez and Evangelina Campos. 

He was a loving, devoting father, brother, friend and grandfather. He spent most of his life working in the oilfield as a truck driver. He was a devoted #1 fan of the Chivas and was a jack of all trades. He loved being around his family on his free time.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents Horacio and Evangelina Chavez.

Jesus is survived by his three daughters Elsa Olvera and husband Ulises Olvera, Brenda Chavez and husband Jose Solis, Diana Calvert and husband Shane Calvert and his wife Elizabeth Chavez. Grandchildren, Ulises Olvera Jr, Jessica Garcia, Jazlyn Solis, Kathryn Calvert, Jayla Solis and Aiden Calvert. His two brothers Jose Chavez Campos, Juan M. Chavez, and three sisters Maria Chavez Esquivel, Isabel Chavez Pechacek, and Eva Chavez. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 25, at 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Civic Center in Iraan, TX. 

Funeral services will be on Friday, July 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the Civic Center. Burial will follow at the Iraan Restland Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ulises Olvera, Ulises Olvera Jr., Jose Solis, Shane Calvert, Juan M. Chavez, and Jose Chavez Campos.
