On Thursday, October 8, 2020, Jerry Michael Moya, loving husband, father, and friend to all passed away at the age of 57.
Jerry was born November 10, 1962, in Rankin, Tx to Christina Ramirez and Guadalupe Moya.
He graduated from McCamey High School in 1981, and soon after joined the U.S. Army. On June 28, 1986, he married Noami Mesa Moya. They raised two daughters, Desiree and Alyssa, and three sons, Michael, Daniel, and Matthew.
Jerry was a devoted husband, a loving father, to his children, a father figure to many others, and was always there to help anybody who called on him. He had a strong passion for music and was a very talented musician. Jerry worked for the Upton County for over 20 years. He was a hard worker who truly loved his job and was proud of his work.
He will forever be known for his compassion and eagerness to help others, his ability to fix almost anything, and of course his infectious laugh.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather and Grandmother, Guadalupe and Guadalupe Ramirez, and his father, Guadalupe R. Moya.
He is survived by his wife, Noami Moya; his 5 children, Desiree Moya, Alyssa Moya and her husband, Santos Saucedo Jr. of McCamey, Tx; Michael Moya of Amarillo, Tx; Daniel Moya of McCamey, Tx; and Matthew Moya currently serving in the U.S. Army. His sisters, Linda and her husband Nandy Zarate of McCamey, Tx; Joann G. Alarcon of Kermit, Tx; Jessica Ybarra of Levelland, Tx; his brother George and his wife Missy Guadiana of San Perlita, Tx. His sisters Esmeralda and her husband Martin Chavez; Edelmira Vasquez; Ennedina and her husband Salvador Garcia; Maria and her husband Arturo Chavez and Rosita Moya; his brother Efigenio and his wife Melissa Moya. His two grandchildren, Xander and Luciana Saucedo, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey, Tx on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 9am-9pm.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11 am at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel.
