Jeronima Rey Flores, 93 of Crane, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Crane Memorial Hospital.
Rosary was said at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane with Father Laurent Mvondo and Deacon Julio Carrasco officiating. Burial followed in the Imperial Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane. Pallbearers were Johnny Ramirez, Roy Ramirez, Manuel Flores, Christopher Alfaro, Robert Alfaro, Freddie Flores, Justin Alfaro, and Tony Flores. Honorary Pallbearers were Jr. Rodriguez and Armando Flores Jr.
Jeronima was born on September 30, 1917 in Terlingua, TX. She had lived in Crane for 11 years, moving from Imperial. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
She is survived by three daughters, Elvira Rodriguez and Minnie Ramirez, both of Crane, Linda Alfaro of San Antonio; four sons, Armando Flores of West Covina, CA, Jesse Flores of San Angelo, Arcadio Flores of Imperial, and Nupy Flores of Water Valley; a brother, Celedonio Rey of Midland; 31 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
