Jean Lee, 77, of Rankin, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the Rankin Cemetery with Reverend Randy Bush officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Jean was born on March 17, 1937, in Benson, Arizona; however she comes from a pioneering family from West Texas. Her great grandparents, the Frost family, bought a ranch in 1902 and raised 11 children on the ranch. The ranch today is still owned by the Frost family.
She was a longtime resident of Rankin, and had worked at the First State Bank of Rankin for many years. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rankin.
Jean loved her family, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, and she loved her dog Sadie.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband James in 2013; and two grandsons, Derick Lee and T.J. Lee.
She is survived by three sons, Ricky Lee and his wife Kathy of Midland, Rusty Lee and his wife Tracy of Kearney, Missouri, and Jim Paul Lee and his wife Teresa of Harrison, Arkansas; a sister, Yvonne Thompson of Clayton, NC; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
