J.J. Solis, 18, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. He was born on August 28, 2002 in Midland, Texas to Jacqueline Cortinas and Juan Solis, Sr. J.J. attended schools within the Lamar CISD and graduated from Foster High School in 2020.
During his high school career, J.J. was a member of Culinary Arts his Freshman and Sophomore years. He was a member of the Foster High School Choir all four years where he became classically trained as a Bass 2. Many achievements were reached in choir that includes advancements to Pre-Area Choir and also receiving Superior Ratings on his solos at the Annual U.I.L. Solo and Ensemble contests.
J.J. was an avid music lover that enjoyed all genres, and Halsey was by far his favorite musical artist. He enjoyed life and loved to spend time with his family and friends. His favorite past-time was eating at the Pho restaurant, snacking on Chewy Sweet Tarts and sipping on a cold Cherry Coke. In addition to eating, traveling, and shopping became a close runner up.
J.J. will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of soul that never met a stranger, and everyone adored being in his presence. J.J. was the example of the person that would make anyone proud to call their Son, Grandson, Nephew or Cousin.
J.J. leaves to cherish his memory a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey, Texas on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00p.m. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
