ISRAEL LUJAN CARRASCO
CRANE: Israel Lujan Carrasco, 76 of Crane, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Crane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Carrasco and Pete Rueda officiating. Burial will be in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Carrasco was born April 21, 1933 in Ojinaga, Mexico. He married Magdalena Martinez in January of 1958 in McCamey. Mr. Carrasco was proud to achieve the accomplishment of becoming and American citizen at the age of 55. He was a retired Rig Operator for R & H Well Service; and had lived in Crane since 1969.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalena Carrasco of Crane; four children: Jimmy Carrasco and his wife Kerry, Becky Rueda and her husband Pete; all of Crane, Nathanael Carrasco of Odessa, and Joann Carrasco Hardeman of Crane; six grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Karena McElhaney, Kayla Carrasco, Julia Carrasco, Amanda Rueda, and Zachary Rueda; and two great-grandchildren, Mayli McElhaney and Nicolas Rueda; and 8 Sisters, and 2 Brothers.
