Hestan Allen Hall

Hestan Allen Hall left this world on Sunday, April 6, 2025, he was 41 yrs old.

Hestan was born in Crane Texas and soon became the son of Don and Hope Hall. He was the light of their lives. Hestan grew up and graduated from Crane High School in 2001 and continued his education at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin where he received his bachelor’s degree in communications and was a member of the dean’s honor roll. During high school Hestan was an esteemed member of the choir and traveled and medaled at state a few times.. Hestan was also a proponent of the theater, as patron, performer, and even backstage technician. Hestan spent the better part of two decades donating his time, and talent to Midland Community Theatre, and subsequently MCT’s major fundraiser the world-renowned Summer MuMmers. He participated in dozens upon dozens of shows, but his most recognizable role would be that of the villain’s sidekick, in MuMmers. Hestan also loved to lead the popcorn sellers, and by doing so helped raise well over a million dollars in funds, over his years of service. Hestan lived in Crane, but the theaters were in Midland, that is a 104-mile round trip, and he did this drive almost every day, including late nights when he would make the 52-mile trek home well after midnight. Because of his many miles of travel, topped only by the many volunteer hours, the Summer MuMmers named an award after him. This award would forever go to the volunteer who put in the most travel miles every summer to get back and forth to the production. They named it, “The Hestan Hall of Fame.” Hestan was also the voice of the Crane Golden Cranes, he announced the games at the stadium and traveled to almost every away game for well over a decade, even when he didn’t travel anymore, he still announced the games from his home studio. Hestan will be missed by everyone he ever met.

Hestan is preceded in death by his Mother Hope Hall and his father Don Hall of Crane, brother Tommy Puga of Midland and brother David Puga of Crane and cousins Justin Puga and Hanah Puga.

He is survived by one brother Tony Puga and wife Kym of Oklahoma, sister Jo Ann Mead of Lubbock, sister, Sylvia Puga of San Antonio and ten cousins.
