Henrietta Jo Peoples

Henrietta Jo Peoples, 79, passed away suddenly on the evening of April 2, 2025. She had been living in the Madison Medical Resort for the last year.

Henrietta was born July 7, 1945 in Brady, TX. She moved to Crane with her parents in 1951. She graduated Crane High School in 1964 and spent the majority of her life living in Crane or McCamey.

Many will remember Henrietta at the manager of Family Dollar, or when she worked at Allsup’s. She also helped her husband with his transport business when they lived in McCamey.

Henrietta married Charlie C. Peoples December 1, 1969. They had two children Kimberly Kay and John Roy who both preceded their parents in death. Henrietta’s parents, Folbert and Jewel Turner also preceded.

Survivors include three sisters and one brother in law. Dorothy and Les McLaughlin of Christoval, TX, Jacki Foster of Odessa, TX, and Betty Taylor of Elizabeth, Colorado. Nephews Tim McLaughlin, Jeremy Lee, Justin Foster, and Bryan Taylor. Also, niece Jennifer Robinson. 

Visitation with the family will be held at Nichols Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 8th from 6:00 - 8:00pm.  Graveside services will be held at the Crane County Cemetery at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
