Helen Elizabeth Tooke went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 18, 2012. She was born October 6, 1918 in Everman, Tarrant Co. Texas. She recently celebrated her 94th birthday while living at The Pointe Assisted Living Home in Cedar Park, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane. The service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Tommy Parker and Rev. Chris Walls officiating. Burial will be at the Crane Memorial Cemetery in Crane.
Helen was preceded in death by husband G. A. Tooke, son Vernon David Tooke and daughter Helen Aletha Walls. Also preceded in death by parents, V. C. and Mary Saletha McClendon Bromley, brothers Buford Ray and Vernon Weldon Bromley and sisters Doris Marie (infant), Buena Fay Burks and Hattie Lee Young\Moon.
Helen is survived by children Rae Nell Conner, Ft. Stockton; Shirley Dorene Tarbet, Cedar Park; Dexter Keith Tooke, Del Rio and Joe Alan Tooke, El Paso. Other survivors include grandchildren Earl Tooke, Sasche; Stacy Tooke, Garland; Dawn Tooke, McKinney; Carie Conner Svajda, College Station; Gary Don Conner, Pecos; Mark Alan Tarbet, Cedar Park; Michael Tarbet, Frisco; Scott Walls Shreveport; Chris Walls, Hagerstown; Kristin Anderson, Tucson; Kyndle Farrell, El Paso. She is also survived by Great grandchildren Alex and Cassie Tooke, Sasche; Kelly Tooke, student at LeTourneau University, Longview; Paul Tooke, Garland; David and Kiona Weeks, McKinney; Megan Svajda Hardy, College Station; Melinda Svajda Winkler, Houston; Conner Svajda, student SNU, Oklahoma City; Cooper Svajda, College Station; Lee and Helen Conner, Pecos; Sarah Tarbet, student Texas A&M; Emily Tarbet, Cedar Park; Tanner, Harrison and Grace Tarbet, Frisco; Matthew, Andrew and Benjamin Walls, Shreveport; Riley, Carson and Hudson Walls, Hagerstown; Mia and Jonah Anderson, Tucson and Teagan Aletha Farrell, El Paso.
