Guillermo (Willie) Garcia

Guillermo P. Garcia (Willie), a long-time resident of McCamey, Texas passed away on January 18, 2025.

 He was born in Nazas, Durango, Mexico. Willie was a die-hard Longhorn fan and always tended his pecan trees, giving advise on how to care for them. He worked for RR Kennedy as a truck driver and as a pumper for several different companies in McCamey. Willie had a strong work ethic he passed on to his kids.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents Roman and Estella Garcia, his wife Nena, his son Antonio, and sisters Esperanza, Cuca and Barita.

He leaves behind his children Roberto, Estella, Guillermo (Billy) Jr, Leticia (husband Joe) Valles, Sofia Garcia, Jesus Gomez, Isreal Gomez, Cruz (wife Velma) Gomez and Cezar Garcia. His brothers Jesus (Chuy), Jose Luis, Juan Manuel and Sabino. His sisters Lupe and Sofia. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st from 9am to 9pm with a Rosary said Tuesday, January 21st at 7pm at the Nichols Funeral Home 1000 FM 1901 McCamey, TX. Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, January 22nd at the Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Aiden Gomez, Roman Garcia, Marcos Tavarez, Joe Anthony Garcia, Nicholas Garcia, Guillermo Garcia, and Patrick Russell.
