Frank John Smetak Jr.

Frank John Smetak Jr., 66 of Fort Stockton, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Northside Baptist Church in Fort Stockton with Reverend Scott Owens officiating.
Jr. was born on August 29, 1944 in Sidney, Texas. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army. He was a painter by trade, and loved fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Berta; daughter, April Cassell and her husband James; stepdaughter Kris Edwards and her husband Garry; stepsons Scott Thomas and his wife Lynn, and Terry Thomas and Michelle; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Jr. is also survived by his brothers, Paul Smetak & Voyanita of Killeen TX, Ben Smetak of Ramona CA, Charlie Smetak of Burnet TX, Ernest Smetak and his wife Shirley, Rudolph Smetak and Mary, all of Fort Stockton; sisters, Rudy Tyson of Camden AR, Dorothy Wilkerson and her husband Jack of Proctor TX, Lillie Bean of Austin TX, Frances Schultz and husband Luke, and Donna Verette and her husband Sidney, all of Fort Stockton; and many nieces, and nephews, and a very special church family at Northside, as well as his much loved puppy, “Fluffyâ€.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Northside Baptist Church building fund, or Hospice of Fort Stockton would be appreciated.
