Francisco Paredes, 80, of Crane, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015, in the Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Francisco was born on June 15, 1935, in Mexico. He had lived in Crane for 25 years. He had retired from construction as an installer. Francisco was a Mormon Priest, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Odessa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estella Paredes in 2003; and a son, Alberto Paredes in 2011.
Survivors include 6 sons, Adrian Paredes of Odessa, Francisco Omar Paredes, Carlos Paredes, and Ramon Paredes, all of California, Miguel Paredes of Juarez, Mexico, and Gabriel Paredes of El Paso; 5 daughters, Guadalupe Garcia of Crane, Marie Coffman of Chaparral, NM, Rosa Grajeda of Fort Worth, Blanca Paredes of Amarillo, and Orquedia Mata of California; one sister, Anita Paredes deAguilar of Chihuahua, Mexico; a brother, Antonio Paredes of Juarez, Mexico; 48 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
