Evelyn M. Pomroy

Evelyn Brown Pomroy, age 96, passed from this life into her eternal home Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Midland, TX with her family at her side.

Evelyn was born July 27, 1922 in Hale Center, TX living in Crane most of her adult life. She married James Greene Pomroy December 12, 1942. She was a homemaker and a dedicated Christian and servant to so many, especially her family. She loved cooking, sewing, crafting and fishing in Williams Creek Lake near their summer home in Pagosa Springs, CO.

Evelyn was proceeded in death by her parents Edna and Efford Brown and a sister Willie Pratt Minear. She is survived by her three sons, Eddy Pomroy and wife Sherry of Odessa, Freddie Pomroy and wife Debbie of Odessa, Jimmy Pomroy and wife Sandra of San Angelo and her sister Mariellen Ingram and husband Jim of Onalaska. Her long life allowed for many hugs for her eight grandchildren, Todd, Kelly, Hunter, Matt, Camryn, Lindsay, Haley and Nathan as well as 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandgirl and many nieces and nephews. Hers was a life well spent.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Crane County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
