Ernest William Smetak passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the age of 88 years. He was born on September 29, 1930 in West Texas. He was the 5th of 16 children born to Frank, Sr. and Rosa Smetak. He was preceded in death by his parents; Son - Alan Smetak; Brothers-AJ, Paul, Ben, Dan, Charlie, Frank, Jr.; and Sisters- Estelle, Margie, Rosie, Lillie and Rudolphina.
He is survived by Wife - Shirley Smetak; Children - Glenn Copus and wife Bev, Cindy Culbertson and husband Tom, Rose Causey and husband Jim Bob, Virgil Copus and Melissa Mulkey; Siblings - Brother Rudolph Smetak; Sisters - Frances Schultz and husband Luke, Dorothy Wilkerson and husband Jack, Donna Verette and husband Sidney along with numerous Grand Children, Nieces and Nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Northside Baptist Church in Fort Stockton
