Ermila Mendoza

Ermila Mendoza, 81, of Iraan, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, in Iraan.

Rosary will be said at 7pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Shaffer-Nichols Chapel in Iraan. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Rodney White officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

Ermila was born August 9, 1932, in Rocksprings, Texas. She was a homemaker and had lived in Iraan for 63 years. She loved gardening and tending to her house plants. Ermila was a great cook and was known for her wonderful tortillas. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Ermila was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Mendoza in April of 2012; her parents; and three sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Mary Gomez of Iraan, Ofelia Baeza of San Angelo, Gregory Mendoza Jr. of Crane, Juanita Leffler of Iraan, Catarina Taylor of Arlington, and Jessica Mendoza of Crane; two sisters, Molly Castaneda of Midland, and Simona Sanchez of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
