Eric Dale Thacker, 59, of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane with Minister Tommy Parker officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Eric was born on November 28, 1953 in Williston, ND to J. L. and Dorothy Ingram Thacker. He was a graduate of Mesa High School in Mesa, AZ. Eric was a longtime resident of Crane. He was employed by Blakely Construction as a Field Operations Coordinator, and had worked there for 20 years. He loved to read, and he enjoyed going to the movies. Eric was preceded in death by his Dad, J. L. Thacker; and his Uncle and Aunt, Carl and Sylvia Wood.
Eric is survived by his Mother, Dorothy Kammer of Mt. Vernon, TX; his sister, Deborah C. Lair of Tyler, TX; his brother, Ron Warshall of Wisconsin; a niece, Crystal Lair; and a nephew, John Eric Lair. He is also survived by very special friends, Shirley Tarpley and family; Michelle Vsetula and family; Terry Brown and family; and Howard, Judy, and Gari Sprague.
