EDWARD VILLA "LALO" GALINDO SR.
CRANE: Edward Villa "Lalo" Galindo Sr. passed away on January 9, 2011 at the age of 66 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Crane with Reverend Jimmy Carrasco and Pete Rueda officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Galindo was born on January 18, 1944 in Sheffield, Texas. He married Carol Yruegas on May 6, 1963. He worked for Trey Trucks as a truck driver for the past 5 years; and was a member of the Times for Refreshing Church in Crane.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Carol Galindo; daughters Monica Galindo, Melinda Soto and her husband Lupe, all of Crane, Edna Valles and her husband Carlos, and Erica Galindo and her friend Ronnie Robledo, all of Odessa; his sons, Eddie Galindo Jr., and Edwin Galindo, both of Crane; grandsons, Fabien Galindo of San Antonio, Justin G. Cox of Baton Rouge, LA, Stephen Galindo of San Angelo, Adrian Galindo and his wife Maureen of Philadelphia, PA, Tr? Bishop, and Eric Galindo both of Crane, Dominick Valles of Odessa, Matt Gonzales and his wife Vonnie of Midland, Mandi Gonzales of McCamey, Samantha Galindo and Jayla Bishop, both of Crane; and one great-grandson Adrian Galindo Jr.
Survivors also include his brothers, Ernest Galindo and his wife Gloria, Ector Galindo and his wife Barbara, all of Iraan; Sammy Galindo Sr. and his wife Donna of McCamey, Gary Galindo of San Antonio, Danny Galindo, Adam Galindo and his wife Lisa, all of Sonora, and Oscar Galindo of Sheffield; his sisters, Lillian Rivas of San Antonio, Enoelia and her husband Heliodoro Sena of Crane, Irmelinda Torres and her husband Jesse of Castroville, Alice Boring of Loving, NM, and Janie Tidwell of San Angelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebriano and Josephine Galindo; and his sister, Delia Galindo of Sheffield.
