Dorothy Moore, 80, of Ft. Stockton, Texas joined her Savior and Lord September 11, 2019. She was born on January 26, 1939 in Nelson, Az.
Dorothy was the loving wife of Jim Moore. They married on December 20, 1958 in Seligman, Az. They later settled in Fort Stockton in 1963. Dorothy enjoyed taking family pictures and putting them in albums, fishing, archery, garage sales and watching football games on Sunday with her family.
She was a loving mother to five children, Mary Moore of Midland, Bruce Moore of Ft. Stockton, Becky Gonzales and P.A. Gonzales of Crane, Jimbo Moore and Tammie of Crane, and Karen Moore of Dallas. A cherished grandmother to Brenna, Arick, Rocky, Rachel, Justin, Mason, Lil Pa, Chelse, Bodie, Breanna, Corbin, Brice and a great grandmother to 16 grandchildren. She will also be forever remembered by her siblings Stella Mestas of El Monte, Ca., Manuel Martinez of Victorville, Ca., Mary Fouch of Ft. Stockton, and sister in law Bodine Johnson of Odessa, Tx.
A graveside service will be held in celebration of Dorothy’s life at 10:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey with Father Timothy Hayter officiating. The family ask for prayers for the loss of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Abelardo and Maria Martinez, siblings Gabby, Alex, Gilbert, Mike, Richard, Molly and Julia and great grandchild Grace Skylar Heredia.
