Dora Prieto Santillan

Dora Prieto Santillan went to be with Lord on Sunday, December 15th, 2024. She was born to Agapito Prieto and Manuela Rodriguez in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico on August 19th, 1948. She moved to Portales NM in 1970 and married Edmundo Santillan on March 26th, 1974, where they lived until 2003, they moved to Pleasant Farms Tx that same year to be closer to her children where she resided until her death.

Dora was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at the family get togethers.

Dora is survived by her husband Edmundo of 50 years. Her children Sergio Prieto of McEwan Tennessee, Norma and husband Sergio Cervantes of Odessa Tx, Tomas and wife Bebe Prieto of Midland Tx, Veronica and husband Heriberto Hernandez of Odessa Tx, Griselda and husband Senovio Velazquez of Odessa Tx and Edmundo Santillan Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sergio Agapito, Tomas, Adrianna, Crystal, Jacob, Brianna, Andrew, Sergio Jr., Erik, Kassandra, Analicia, Anthony, Tomas Jr., Veronica, Heriberto Jr., Micah, Eduardo, Karime and Brian. 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Esadia Herrera of Jal Nm, Teodora Valenzuela of Odessa Tx, Ermerejilda Grajeda of El Paso Tx, Aurora Ortega of Portales NM, and Emma Dominguez of Lovington NM. The brothers Ruben Prieto of Clovis NM, Ismael Prieto of El Paso Tx and Arnold Prieto of Portales NM.

She is preceded in death by her parents Agapito and Manuela Prieto.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday December 18th at Nichols Funeral Home in Crane Tx from 12pm to 9pm with a Rosary service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on December 19th at 11am at the Good Shepard Catholic Church in Crane Tx. Burial will follow at the Crane Memorial Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Erik Cervantes, Tomas Prieto, Anthony Prieto, Heriberto Hernandez Jr, Eduardo Velazquez and Brian Santillan. Honorary pallbearers will be Sergio Agapito Prieto, Sergio Cervantes Jr, Tomas Prieto Jr, Jacob Prieto and Andrew Prieto
