Junebug is survived by his children Donald Vanis Bishop III (Tre), Jayla Beth Bishop and Fabian Lee. His brother’s Luther Morris and wife Mary Ann of Odessa, Tommy Bishop and Claudine of Midland and sister Donna Bishop-Young of Crane, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Don Sr. and Estiene Bishop, sisters Irene Drones, Elma Jean Williams, his niece, Ashley Clark, his brother-in-law, Willie Charles Young, his wife Tera Crossland, and son Nate.
Junebug worked all his life and became very well known in the Permian Basin and in the oilfield industry, he was well respected and was always willing to get the job done no matter what it took. As life takes it turns, Junebug found himself working for several companies and eventually starting his own trucking company with his late wife Tera Crossland. After her passing last year, Junebug picked up the pieces, yet again and started his final company, which was Bishop Trucking. Junebug has always been a diligent worker and has had great relationships with everyone he ever met. He has mentored so many people in the oilfield and taught them the ropes. He helped many get started in the oilfield industry or just simply introduced them to people that they would one day need to know further down the road.
Junebug loved Jesus with all his heart and spoke of this daily. He loved being surrounded by his friends and family, cooking for everyone, raising a glass, and enjoying life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, entertaining, riding Harleys, playing golf, going to games, and watching his nephews play football and continue the family traditions. He will be deeply missed by all who ever met him!
