DELMER DEAN KEA
CRANE: Delmer Dean Kea, 73 of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane with Reverend Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Delmer was born on September 5, 1936 in Gorman, Texas. He was an Army Veteran, and had retired from El Paso Natural Gas as a repairman. Delmer was a member of the De Leon Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Murtie Kea; a son, Randy Kea; sisters, May Bell McCrary, and Violet Dawkins; brothers, Lee Kea, Cecil Kea, and Ralph Kea.
Delmer is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Kea of Crane; two sons, Danny Kea and his wife Michelle of Crane, and Ronnie Kea and his wife Debbie of Midland; a brother, Wayne Kea of Tyler, TX; his father-in-law, Lloyd Dixon of De Leon; 9 Grandchildren, Kolby Kea of Odessa, Kaleb Kea, Jordan Heard, and Samantha Sparkman all of Crane, Josh Kea of Mustang, OK, Kassie Kea of Mineral Wells, Brian Gregory and his wife Maegan of Elk City, OK, Keisha Stark and husband David of Midland, and Cameron Gregory of Midland; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
