CRANE: David Preston Collier, 59 of Crane, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
David was born on August 16, 1950 in Hereford, Texas. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Navy. David had lived in Crane for over 25 years, and was a Police Officer and had been employed by the Odessa Police Department, and then moved to Crane were he had worked for the Crane Police Department from 1982 until 1990. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
David is survived by his two sons, Patrick Kelly Collier and his wife Leeann of Corpus Christi, TX; and David Wayne Collier and his wife Channon of Greenwood, TX; his mother, Mary Collier of Crane; his father, Gene Collier of Odessa; a brother, Duane Collier of Crane; and three grandchildren, Courtney Collier, Kirsten Collier, and Dillon Collier.
