Dario Dominguez

Dario Dominguez, 72, of Imperial, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at this home.

Dario was born on January 12, 1951, in Imperial and had lived there all his life. He was a Catholic and a member of the Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Imperial.Dario worked for the Buena Vista ISD as the Maintenance Supervisor as well as a bus driver and retired after 30 years of service to the district.  He enjoyed reading the newspaper and loved softball and was active playing even in adulthood. Dario was gregarious and never met a stranger.  He knew everyone in town and never missed an opportunity to visit.

Those that have preceded him in death are his parents, Emilio and Anita Dominguez; his brothers, Carlos Dominguez, Raymond Dominguez, Miguel Dominguez, and Johnny Dominguez; and a granddaughter, Alexus Dominguez.

Dario is survived by his two sons, Mark Dominguez of Imperial, and Adam Dominguez of Monahans; brothers, Emilio Dominguez, Nemorio Dominguez, and Guillermo Dominguez; sisters Anita Carrasco, Manuela Tovar, Herminia Granado, Mary Rey, and Nirma Mayben; three grandchildren, Christopher Dominguez, Diego Dominguez, and Jazzmin Dominguez; one great grandson, Javier Dominguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be held at 7pm on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Buena Vista ISD Auditorium with burial to follow in the Crane County Cemetery.
