Danny Acosta

We are sad to announce the passing of Danny Acosta of Crane, Texas. He was born May 4, 1949 in Monahans, Texas. He passed unexpectedly at the age of 73 on March 26, 2023.  We lost an amazing Son, Marine, Husband, Father, Friend and POPS. 

Danny was a great Educator, Storyteller, Dreamer and A Marine. He served 2 deployments in the Vietnam War: May 12, 1967 - Nov 18, 1970 & Dec 23, 1974 - May 28, 1976.

He left the service with Honorable discharge receiving these medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device, Good Conduct Medal 1st Awd, Vietnam Service Medal  w/1*,  RVN Cross of Gallantry w/palm & Frame, Rifle Marksmanship Badge.

He is survived by his wife Jena Lee Acosta of Crane Texas. His Children Lidia & Benito Dominguez, Rafael & Shelly Meza, Maria & Joe Price Jr., Jenny M Haught, Agustine & Amber Meza, Marcus Meza, & Vania Sanchez. Grand Children Bessie Sanchez, Ulyses & Ismar Sanchez, Florencio Sanchez, Michael Haught, Tiburcio & Katalina Almanza, Jamie Price, Robyn Mireles, Mikka & Tyler Tilly, Rafael & Hadison Meza, Desiree Meza, Jaime Meza, Crystal Entringer, Kane Lee, Seilah; Great Grand Children Angel, Faith, Aiden, Wyatt, Abigail, Anhelika, Daniella, Landon, Nolan, Teagan, Beau, Xavier, Emery

You will never be forgotten for you left a piece of your wisdom for all of us to Cherish. As we say goodbye for now, we hope and pray to reunite with you on the other side when God decides to take us to see the Glory of his Presence!
