Dannie Lee Seward, 90, of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Crane Nursing Center.
Funeral services were held at 2PM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Reverend Ruben Packer officiating. Burial followed in the Bangs Cemetery.
Dannie was born on December 10, 1922 in Christoval, Texas to Willie and Sleety Chaffin. She was a graduate of Crane High School. Dannie retired as the Admissions supervisor and the Brownwood Regional Hospital. She had lived in Crane for the past 15 years, moving from Thrifty, Texas. She was a Baptist, and attended the Victory Baptist Church in Brownwood. Dannie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delton Seward in 1996; and being the youngest of 11 children, was preceded death by 10 siblings.
Dannie is survived by her daughter, Karla Harbin and her husband Larry of Crane; two sons, Robert Seward and his wife Carol, and Steven Seward of Altus, OK; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
