Curtis Holt, 86, of McCamey, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the East Side Baptist Church with Reverend Ernest Wall officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery in Iraan with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Curtis was born on November 10, 1928, in Arkansas. He has lived in McCamey for the past 43 years. Curtis truly loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed barbequing, playing Skip Bo, and spending time with his family and friends. Curtis was known for his joking, teasing, and fun loving demeanor.
Curtis worked for CF Lawrence for 28 years, retiring as a Production Supervisor in 1993. He was a member of the East Side Baptist Church in McCamey. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and a grandson, Curtis Gibson.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Holt of McCamey; three daughters, Mildred Jones and her husband Gary of Odessa, Marlene Beeson and her husband Tommy of Jarrell, Texas, and Sonia Martin and her husband Joe Keith of Odessa; a brother, Gary Holt of Kensette, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
