McCAMEY: Cruz M. Guevara, 41 of Odessa, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Burial followed in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Cruz was born on April 14, 1967 in Rankin, Texas. He was a contract backhoe operator.
He is survived by his wife, Niki Guevara of Odessa; his three sons, Casey Bass of Colorado City, Jared Guevara and Jaden Guevara, both of Odessa; his mother, Alice Bass of McCamey; two brothers, Fred Guevara, Jr. of Odessa, and Ivy Bass, Jr. of Midland; six sisters, Rosa Martinez of Rankin, Dolores Urias of Midland, Sandra Muniz of Odessa, Nancy Guevara of Kerrville, Rosella Autry of Odessa, and Martha Bass of Odessa.
