Carmen Carrasco Marquez, “Momo”, age 81, of McCamey, Texas has been called to be the with lord on Monday August 8, 2022. In her final days she was surrounded by her family.
Carmen was born in Fort Stockton, Texas on March 24th, 1941, to Juan Carrasco and Rosa Ortega. She married her husband in 1959. She loved cooking and baking for her family, watching sports, but football was her favorite. She also enjoyed traveling and going to church with her husband. She was an avid prayer of the rosary. In her younger years she enjoyed going to dances and her later years she enjoyed the casinos. She also enjoyed shopping and had a large shoe collection.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, her brother Vidal Carrasco, and sister Elida Cobarrubio. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years; Robert Marquez, son LeeRoy Marquez and wife Eva, son Noe Marquez and wife Crystal, son Robert Marquez Jr.(Betito) and Priscilla, daughter Jessica Marquez, and her sisters Lucia Ramon, Linda Perez, and Josefina Aranda. She leaves behind several nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
We take comfort in knowing you are rejoicing in heaven! Goodbye to a wonderful wife and a beautiful mother and Momo!
The viewing will start on Friday August 12th at 9AM and rosary at 7 PM at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral home in McCamey, Texas. Mass will be on Saturday August 13th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 AM with graveside services following at Resthaven Cemetery both in McCamey, Texas.
