Carmen Tepezano Cantrell, age 82, went to rest and be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was born in Palo Durango, Mexico on February 1, 1937 to parents Porfirlo and Agustina (Martinez) Tepezano. She was one of seven siblings. Carmen met her late husband Chandos in El Paso, TX and they were married on December 3, 1976. Together they raised eight wonderful, beautiful children who would become the center of her life.
Carmen had a passion for gardening and flowers. On any given evening you could find her out in her yard watering and tending to them. She was a devoted Christian and was rooted in faith. She spent her Sundays at church worshipping and learning the word of God. He blessed her with a servants heart and she used it to love and pour love out to anyone she came into contact with. Whether it was through advice, prayer, or simple gestures she was always ready to help anyone out. Her wit, fiery personality, huge heart, and unhindered love for all were contagious and easily the most remembered qualities she possessed. Her happiness came from having a house full of family & friends alike. She loved and loved well. The greatest gift she gave her loved ones was her constant prayer. To describe her well you’d say she was a caring, loving, devoted mother, friend, and Christian.
Carmen is survived by her six sons Alejandro Jimenez(Elizabeth) of Monahans, Tx, Alfredo Jimenez (Sonia),Jerry Jimenez (Irene), and Bobby Jimenez (Nancy) of El Paso, TX, Luis Jimenez of Odessa, TX, and Francisco Jimenez of McCamey, TX, two daughters Maria Jimenez of McCamey, and Barbara Hughes (Shannon) of Las Cruces, NM, 22 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
