Carlos Wesley Whitefield

Carlos Wesley Whitefield, 65, of Iraan, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Iraan General Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Civic Center in Iraan. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Wesley was born on October 4, 1947, in Iraan, Texas. He was a Navy Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. Wesley was a retired Cathodic Engineer. He had lived in Iraan most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, and golfing, however the most important thing to him was spending time with his family.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Whitefield Jr. and Katie Murphy Whitefield.
Survivors include his son, Michael Whitefield and his wife Lisa of Abilene; his daughter, Michelle Whitefield of Iraan; three sisters, Deborah Joy, Carol Calvert and her husband James, all of Iraan; and Jeanine Badgett and her husband Reggie of Midland; and six grandchildren, Carly, Caleb, Clayton, Cathryn, Rachel, and Rylee.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
