C. Brazeal

February 13, 1926 — December 29, 2014

C.T. Brazeal has always been recognized as an oilfield expert, loving and caring father, and a friend to so many people in his 88 years. Since his early days in the oilfield as a roughneck, he has been known as “T” to his family, oilfield colleagues, and friends. There were only two people, his Mother and Wife, Sis Brazeal that ever called him by his full name – Clarence Thomas Brazeal – and that was usually if T was temporarily out of good graces! T has been married to Sis for 67 years, and their story of enduring love is extraordinary. T and Sis through their years together moved over 60 times to accommodate his opportunities in the oilfield. T has worked with oil and gas production from Alaska to the Gulf of Mexico. In 1976 they settled in Crane, Texas, to allow their children to complete their high school education and prepare for college. T was very proud and pleased that his son, C.T. Brazeal, graduated from UT at Austin and his daughter, Ruth Littlefield, from Texas A&M. T was also a proud Grandfather to Ruth’s children, Brooke, Paige, and Collin. After 31 years with Rowan Drilling, T retired in 1981, and then in 1986 officially retired from consulting and began many years of woodworking projects and family time. T hails from the Greatest Generation of all time and served in the Navy in World War II. T was an exceptional gentleman, and his kind, gentle presence will be missed by everyone that ever met T. Heaven has received a man of great stature, gentle nature, and unwavering integrity and will gather with his Mother and Father, Clarence Talmidge and Jessie Jane Brazeal, as well as his brothers and sister, Lloyd, Pete, and Dorris.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 3pm in Crane, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
