Brenda Joyce Schaffer

Brenda Joyce Schaffer, 76, of Crane, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at her home in Crane.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Joe Bullock officiating.

Brenda was born on November 30, 1942, in Mena, Arkansas. She married James Schaffer on June 27, 1964, in Nava, New Mexico.
Brenda had lived in Crane since 1965. She was a member of the Dorothea Street Church of Christ. Brenda was known for her talented ability to bake cakes and did so for the public for 28 years.
During that 28 years, she also provided cakes and birthday parties for all the residence of the nursing home. Brenda loved her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband, James O. Schaffer of Crane; two sons, Kevin Don Schaffer and his wife Michele of Amarillo, and Michael James Schaffer and his wife Danielle of Crane; a brother Lester Bates of Crane; sister Sharon Richardson of Crane; and 9 grandchildren, Elise, Ethan, Madalyn, Bailey, Brittney, Jacob, Erik, Emily and Lily.
