Bill Fred Haught, 87, of Crane, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services were held 11:00 am on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane with Reverend David Evans officiating. Burial followed in the Crane County Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kolby Kea, Kaleb Kea, Jeff Pinkston, Joe McCarty, Terry Robnett, and James Woodwick.
Bill was born on March 23, 1927 in Virginia. He was a WWII Veteran, having served in the Navy. Bill retired as a supervisor from Texas-New Mexico Pipeline.
He was a longtime resident of Crane, an avid golfer, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Devon Verl Haught in 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Haught and his wife Angie of Crane, and Alan Haught and his wife Charito of Irving, Texas; two daughters, Rhonda Smith and her husband Paul of Lytle, Texas, and Susan Cole of San Angelo; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
