Betty Roberts Parmer

Betty Roberts Parmer, 68, of Iraan, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019, at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Betty was born on October 5, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Bobby Parmer on August 23, 1969, in Odessa. Together they made their home in Sheffield and Iraan since 1983.
Betty was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Iraan. She loved to read, watch Hallmark movies, and work crossword and word puzzles.
Betty enjoyed baking and cooking for the church, her family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loys and Edith Roberts.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Bobby Parmer of Iraan; her children, Corey Parmer and his wife Kathie of Iraan, Jennifer Hord and her husband Joshua of Huntsville, TX, and Brian Parmer and his wife Carie of Fentress, TX; two sisters, Barbara Samford, and Brenda Hammontree and her husband Bobby, all of Gorman, TX; five grandchildren, Chelsea Staton, Brett Parmer, Taylor Parmer, Wyatt Parmer, and Zackary Parmer; and two great grandchildren, Bryan Parmer and Brock Staton.

The family will be receiving friends at the First Baptist Church in Iraan on Sunday, April 21, 2019, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019, at 11:00 am with Pastor Eric Bayer and Bobby Parmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
