McCAMEY: Bernice Haire, 76 of McCamey, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey with Reverend Ted Creech officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Bernice was born on December 28, 1953 in Poteet, Texas. She was a homemaker and had lived in McCamey since 1960. She was a Baptist. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Edward Haire, Jr.; and a daughter, Bernice Lynn Haire.
She is survived by her sons, Johnnie E. Haire, Jr. of Robstown, TX, Roy Gene Haire, Roger Haire, and Karl Haire all of Rankin, and Johnny Haire of Abilene; her daughter, Jeannie Haire of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
