Berlie Cecil Leffler

Berlie Cecil Leffler, age 75, Long time resident of Iraan, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, in the Schleicher County Nursing home. Berlie was born in Pennington Gap, VA to Mary Virginia Leffler Long and William Leffler. He grew up in Kentucky, and at the age of nineteen, he enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War for four years as an Air Man First Class. After his military service, Berlie made his way to Iraan, Texas and work many years in the oilfield as a mechanic with companies such as Marathon, Garrison Contractors, Hanover, and Kinder Morgan.

 Berlie is preceded in death by his father William Thomas Leffler, mother Mary Virginia Leffler Long; brothers, Dennis Leffler, Tom Leffler, and Vernon Leffler. 

Berlie is survived by his wife Mary Alices Mendoza Leffler, daughter Ashley James, son-in-law Oscar (Coy) James III, granddaughters Cayla and Emmalee James, brothers Andy Leffler and Casey Bronson, sister Doris Early, and many other extended family members.

Berlie’s final resting place will celebrated by family and close friends with a graveside service at Restland Cemetery in Iraan, Texas on November 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.
