McCAMEY: Bennie (Ben) Aguilar, 48, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 4, 2010, after a short illness at Parkland Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 20, 1962 in McCamey, Texas, to Manuel and Gloria Aguilar.
Ben attended McCamey schools and graduated in 1981, eventually making Dallas, Texas his home.
Our loving Ben will be remembered for his affectionate nature, compassion for others, and wonderful sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by mother, Gloria, maternal grandparents, Macedonio and Candelaria Carrillo, paternal grandparents, Nemesio and Cecilia Aguilar.
He is survived by his father, Manuel, of McCamey; brother, Rudy and wife Rosa, of McCamey; brother, Bobby of San Francisco, California; brother, Joel and wife Ann of Weatherford; brother, David of Fort Worth; brother, Anthony and fianc? Sissy of Odessa, and sister Debra and husband, Nayo Carrasco of Odessa. He will be further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and wonderful friends.
Viewing will be held Sunday, June 6 and Monday, June 7, from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at First Assembly of God in McCamey with Pastor David Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
