Arturo Armendariz 79, of Crane, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Focus Care Nursing Center in Crane.
Arturo was born on April 26, 1941, in Mexico. He had lived in Crane the past nine years. Arturo worked in construction for many years prior to his retirement. He loved the game of baseball, not only as a spectator but he loved to play and was a member of a baseball team in Mexico.
While in the nursing home Arturo enjoyed playing bingo, lotaria, and singing.
Arturo was a Catholic and had attended the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Enedina Burrola; 1 brother; and 2 sisters.
Arturo is survived by his daughter, Celina Barrera and her husband Anibar of Crane; son, Ramon Armendariz and his wife Jacinta of Midland; brother, Aureliano Armendariz of Mexico; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.
Due to the current health situation, the Catholic Church is only allowing 75 to attend the Mass.
