Andres Alberto âAndrewâ Gonzalez, 23, of Austin, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his home.
Rosary was said at 7pm on Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Park Building in Rankin. Funeral mass was held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the Park Building with Father Prem officiating. Burial followed in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Andrew was born on October 19, 1994, in Austin. He had lived in Austin most all of his life. He was a student, and a Catholic.
Andrew was a great artist and loved to read. He enjoyed playing video games and his college classes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delma Ann Ramirez Duddleston; his paternal grandparents, Maria and Jesse Gonzalez; his maternal grandfather, George Ramirez Sr.; and an uncle, Miguel Gonzalez.
Survivors include his father, Albert Gonzalez and his fiancé Sandra Deleon of Austin; grandparents, Crecencio and Erlinda Rodriguez of Rankin; uncles, George Ramirez Jr. and his wife Linda of Abilene, TX, Johnny Joe Ramirez and his wife Tiffany of Thomso, Illinois, Chris Ramirez and his wife Destiney of McCamey, Matthew Ramirez and his wife Marina of McCamey, Crecencio Rodriguez Jr. and his wife Ana of Midland, Ruben Gonzalez and his wife Emma of Fort Stockton, and Jack Gonzalez of Odessa; his aunts, Amy Guerrero and her husband John of San Antonio, Crisilda Gonzalez and her husband Rob of Dallas, Marisa Ramirez of McCamey, Laticia Pillado and her husband Armando of Dallas, and Juanita Gonzalez of Midland; and numerous cousins.
