Alinda Velasquez

Alinda Velasquez, 77, of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in San Angelo.

Alinda was born on December 3, 1946, to Toribio Deanda Sr. and Maria Delores Cuellar Deanda. She was a homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane. Family was everything to Alinda and she cherished spending time with them. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Toribio and Maria Deanda; her husband Oscar Velasquez; brother, Toribio “T.C.” Deanda Jr., and her sister, Corina Rivas.

Survivors include her two sons, Oscar Velasquez Jr. and his wife Nancy of Wyle, TX, Jesse Reyes of Big Lake; two daughters, Cynthia Aguilar of Big Lake, Melissa Perez and husband Guadalupe of San Angelo; one sister, Juanita Lozano of Crane; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Friday afternoon at the funeral home in Crane. Rosary will be at 9:30am on Saturday followed by the Funeral Services at 10:00am at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Chapel in Crane. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Oscar Velasquez Jr., Kaden Velasquez, Felipe Rivas, Daniel Rivas, Natalio Pena, Toribio Deanda III, Ezekiel Ramirez, and Brandon Aguilar.
