Alicia (Alice) Ybarra Burton, age 58, of Sheffield, TX was called Home on Monday, December 10, 2018. She was born in Sheffield, TX on Wednesday, November 2, 1960 to the late Antonio and Teresa (Rodriguez) Ybarra.
Memorial services will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield, TX on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1 p.m.
Aliceâs biggest joys in life included her family and discussing their accomplishments and successes. She loved watching her son compete in sports. She was one of the familyâs ârecord keepersâ and would keep track of important dates and milestones. She was always happy to visit or talk on the phone with family members to relay the good news of other family members or to lend an ear when anyone just needed someone else to talk with. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Alice is survived by her son, Joseph Burton; daughter-in-law, Bren Burton; granddaughter Locklynn, grandson Elijah, and husband, Richard Burton of San Antonio; sisters: Thelma Calzada and husband Alfredo of Sanderson; Delia Hernandez and husband Juan of Ozona; and Irma Ybarra of Sheffield; brothers Armando Ybarra of Ozona, Richard Ybarra of San Angelo; Ray Velasquez and wife Jackie of Iraan; and Manuel Ybarra of Iraan; brother-in-laws: Jim Palmer of Gallup, NM; Pedro Flores of Sheffield; and Samuel Anguiano of Eunice, NM; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Teresa (Rodriguez) Ybarra; sisters: Julia Palmer, Cruz Rodriguez, Esperansa (Hopie) Flores, Diana Anguiano, and Antonita Ybarra; brothers: David, Daniel, Antonio, Lionel, and Robert Ybarra.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations of clothing, food, or diapers be made to organizations that help those in the West Texas area, to remember the kind and giving spirit of Alice.
